At the age of 40 Shane Mosley has been handed what is almost certainly his last major title shot.
The former multi weight world champion will be giving away almost 20 years when he challenges WBC light-middleweight champion Saul Alvarez on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Miguel Cotto world title showdown in Las Vegas on May 5.
It is a classic match up of experience vs youth as the unbeaten 21 year-old Mexican puncher takes on the vastly more experienced former three weight world champion.
On paper it is a decent enough fight, certainly for Alvarez, but Mosley has not won a fight since stopping Antonio Margarito in January, 2009.
