Munroe Wins Second Comeback Fight

Former European super bantamweight champion Rendall Munroe won his second comeback fight at the Doncaster Dome in the north of England on Saturday by out-pointing Andy Townsend over 10 rounds.


Referee Michael Alexander scored the bout 98-92 for Munroe. The bout was an eliminator for the English super featherweight title.


In the main event Gavin McDonnell improved to 10-0-1-(3), out-pointed Josh Wales over 12 rounds in a British super bantamweight title eliminator. Wales was cut above the right eye in the seventh round. The scores were 117-113,118-111 and 119-111.
