Orlando Cruz kept his world title dreams very much alive in Kissimmee, Florida on Friday by scoring a sixth round tko win over Mexican boxer Aalan Martinez.
Cruz is now in line to challenge Mikey Garcia for his WBO featherweight title, although it looks like Garcia may first defend his title against Juan Manuel Marquez.
Speaking after defeating Martinez a confident said: "I’m ready for the championship. My mind is now in challenging for the WBO belt. I’m thirsty for glory now."
Cruz improves his record to 20-2-1-(10),Martinez falls to 14-1-1-(10).
