WBO European Lightweight Champion Stephen Ormond and challenger Adam Dingsdale both came in at 134lb for their fight tomorrow night (Monday 7th October) at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in support of the national music charity Nordoff Robbins.
Dubliner Ormond makes the first defence of the title against the unbeaten challenger from Hoo, Kent, which will be televised live and exclusive on BoxNation from 9pm.
Nordoff Robbins is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK through the use of music therapy and other music services to help a range of people with challenges such as autism, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury, depression and life-threatening or terminal illnesses, such as cancer.
This year’s Boxing Dinner is in loving memory of Dean Powell who was a member of the Nordoff Robbins Boxing Event Committee and instrumental in putting the tomorrow night’s event together.
Previous winners of the Nordoff Robbins Boxing Icon Award are the respected journalist Colin Hart and International Boxing Hall Of Fame Promoter Frank Warren.
