Light welterweight contender Roberto “Massa” Ortiz improved his unbeaten record to 30-0-1-(23), on Saturday when he scored a tough points win over Reyes Sanchez, 25-5-2,(14), in defence of his WBC Silver title at the Deportivo Morelos, Delegacion Cuajimalpa in Mexico City.
The scores were 114-112 twice and 115-112.
In the co main event 22-year-old Ivan “Nino Maravilla” Morales, 23-0-(13) out-pointed Cesar “Gandarita” Gandara over 10 rounds. A knockdown by Morales in round four proved the difference on all three scorecards, 95-94.
Morales retained his WBC Silver International super flyweight title.
Christian Camacho,the son Hector “Macho” Camacho, was knocked down in round one before dropping a four round decision in his pro debut to late sub Enrique Angeles in a four round bout.
