Jerry Glick reporting: Predicting victory, Freddy Roach said that he expected to see his man, Manny Pacquiao win by decision (or KO) over unlikely opponent, the controversial Antonio Margarito, when they face off for the vacant WBC Super-Welterweight belt on November 13th at The Cowboys Stadium in Texas.
Both teams continued to beat the drums at New York City’s Chelsea Piers with both fans and media in attendance.
Roach said that although they are fighting for the 154 pound title, “Manny best fighting weight, I know what it is and that’s what we’ll come in at,” said Roach. “We’ll enter the ring at 148 or 149. “
There will be a catch weight imposed at 150 pounds.
BOB ARUM
Top Rank boss Bob Arum was not in attendance because his 49 year old son John, an avid and experienced mountain climber, is missing. He was supposed to return on Sunday but when he didn’t his wife Susan called the National Park Service in the State of Washington on Monday. The weather was bad there and it hampered rescue efforts, so on Tuesday she called Bob Arum to tell him of the situation. At the press conference the latest news from stepson Todd du Boef was that the distraught promoter was on his way to the site. Arum has three children; John is the oldest, then Richard and Liz.
