Price Destroys Skelton Inside Two Rounds

As expected British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (15-0, 13 KOs) retained his titles with ease by destroying 45 year-old challenger Matt Skelton (28-7, 23 KOs) inside two rounds at the Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool, England on Friday.

Price floored the Skelton with a number of body punches beofre Skelton’s corner threw in the towel.

Frank Maloney, the promoter of Price said the champion will fight again in February “against an American opponent”. Reports suggest that the opponent could be former two time world title challenger Tony Thompson.

Fellow Briton Dereck Chisora was reportedly in the frame but SecondsOut has learned that whilst Chisora has been offered the fight he has turned it down.
