Gabriel Rosado has promised to come to the Liverpool and "win the UK fans over" when he takes on Martin Murray at the O2 Arena on April 22nd.
Rosado told Sky Sports "I want to win by knockout. Against Martin Murray you are going to get blood and sweat and it’s going to be a great fight. A war"
Between them they have 6 world title challenges but all have proven fruitless; Rosado suffering TKO losses to Gennady Golovkin & Peter Quillin whilst Martin Murray has losses to Sergio Martinez, Golovkin, Arthur Abrham and a controversial draw with Felix Sturm back in 2011.
Murray is returning to the 160lbs division after a stint at super middle whilst Rosado has one eye set on a final shot at the big time "He has more miles; he is older and he’s dropping back down, so I am looking to capitalise on that and give it one more go to get the world title."
Both men favour a front foot, all action style and it is fair to expect that the fans in Liverpool will be treated to an explosive affair, Rosado himself believes there is a "Ward-Gatti" element to it.
The 31 year old from Philadelphia has changed trainer, returning to original coach Billy Briscoe, and is promising that a different side of him will be on display. in his exclusive interview with Sky he said:
"They are going to see a different level of speed and punching power and better defence.
"I am not going to run and I am not going to retreat. I am just going to stand in the middle and let my boxing skills and punching power talk. You will see the difference."
