By Dmytro Mossienko: London 2012 Olympic welterweight champion Serik Sapiev from Kazakhstan has announced his retirement.
“I just want to do it for the sake of my health he stated in his blog at Sports.kz. This is my own decision, I hope to find a job," said the 29 year-old.
Sapiev denied having acute spine problems.
