Dorin Spivey, 40-6-0-(30), won the NABA Lightweight title when he scored a seventh round tko win over Philadelphia’s Victor Vasquez,14-6-1-(7), at the Tropicana Casino and Resort Showroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday night.
The Portsmouth, Virginia fighter connected with a number of punches uncluding straight right and left hands after 2.30 of the seventh round forcing the referee to step in and stop the bout.
In the co main event Philadelphia’s Chazz “Witherspoon knocked out Greenville, Kentucky’s David Saulsberry with a straight right hand after 0.42-of the second round. The win gave Witherspoon something called the Independent Boxing Syndicate North American Continental Heavyweight title.
