Bermane Stiverne fully expects to defeat co challenger Chris Arreola even easier when they rematch for the vacant WBC heavyweight title in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night.
In their previous fight Stiverne (23-1-1, 20 KOs), defeated Arreola (36-3, 31 KOs) via 12 round unanimous decision but fully expects to win more impressively this time around.
"In the first fight I hurt him early and dominated thereafter. But....this time the fight will not go the distance!" vowed Stiverne during an interview.
"I’m having a great preparation, and I feel so great like in the beginning of my career. I am very confident that I will have a big win. I’ve heard that Arreola says he could not fight well because his nose was broken, but I mastered him from the outset. I’m sure that in this fight I’m gonna knock him out. He is a strong fighter but I have more qualities and will prove it in the ring!"
Stiverne vs Arreola will be a historic fight. If Stiverne wins he’ll become the first fighter of Haitian descent to win the world heavyweight title. An Arreola triumph would mean he’s the first fighter of Mexican descent to win the heavyweight crown.
