Sturm Retains WBA Crown

Felix Sturm retained his WBA middleweight title via a 12 round unanimous decision against Giovanni Lorenzo at the Lanxess-Arena in Cologne, Germany on Saturday night

Despite being out of the ring for more than a year, Sturm prevailed on all three judges cards by scores of 117-111, 117-111, 118-111. Sturm, 34-2-1-(14), took a couple of rounds to get going but slowly regained his timing and accuracy to retain his title.
