Tapia Stops Garcia In Five


Light middleweight Glen Tapia, 20-0-(12) scored an impressive fifth round stoppage win over a highly competitive Elco Garcia, 27-8-(14), in a 10-round bout at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Saturday.

 

Tapia bided his time before seeing an opening and punching Garcia to the deck after 2:59 of round five.

 

In a Super middleweight clash Jesse Hart remained unbeaten at 10-0, 9 KOs with first round ko of Terrance Wilson, 6-8-(3). The time of the stoppage was 1:57.

 

Another unbeaten fighter on the bill was super featherweight Toka Khan Clary, 8-0-(6), who stopped Victor Sanchez, 5-7-2-(1) after 1.51 of round five.

 

Super featherweight Julian Rodriguez needed just 0.53 seconds to blitz Kevin TJ Benson, 1-2 to defeat on his professional debut.

 

At Lightweight Damon Allen, 4-0-(1), outpointed Tony Walker, 5-3-1-(2) over four rounds and

Super featherweight David “2Gunz” Gonzalez outpointed Ray Velez over four rounds.
