Vargas Open To Facing Khan But First He Wants Broner Rematch

American welterweight Jesse Vargas has said that he is close to agreeing a rematch with fellow countryman Adrien Broner but adding leverage to his negotiations, also revealed that he is willing to face Amir Khan if a serious offer is made.

Vargas and Broner battled to a 12 round draw back in April and speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, said: "We are open to making all fights happen but, at the moment, I believe the rematch with Broner will happen first.

"I’m open to facing Khan. If my team are interested then I’m interested and we can make it happen.

"He’s thrown my name out a few times but there’s been no serious offer or negotiations yet, as I know of.

"I am very grateful for my UK fans and if they’re interested in a fight for me, we will do our upmost to pursue it and make it happen, without a doubt.

If Vargas vs Broner ll does happen it may also be a WBC title eliminator.
