Despite vowing to retire following his career defining win over Darren Hamilton to claim the British light welterweight title a few weeks ago Curtis Woodhouse has decided to fight on .
The former soccer star had originally announced prior to defeating Hamilton via 12 round split decision that win or lose he was to retire but now, a few weeks later he has decided to fight on.
Speaking via Twitter Woodhouse said: "Just to let you all know I’ve decided that I’m going to carry on fighting, still got the fire and the hunger so it’s not time to go.
"Would always be asking myself what might have been if I walked away now, hoping @davidcoldwell can make a few more big nights for me.
"A few big fights that can be made for me, home and abroad, let’s see what comes up, nothing lined up yet but a few exciting options."
