World’s Youngest Ever Promoter Stages First Show

The championship fights on the upcoming card at Sportpalast Bielefeld in Germany on December 18, will be promoted by the youngest boxing promoter ever recorded.

The new promoter will be just 15 years old. Meet Ranee Schroeder, whose father Olaf is himself is involved in professional boxing in a multitude of capacities over the last 30 years.

“For many years now I have accompanied my dad to a lot of shows all over Europe whenever school allows, from little gym shows with 50 fans constituting a sellout up to mega events at Wembley Arena or London’s O2 with 15.000 people,” says the teenage ‘New Kid on the Promotional Block’,

“I have seen how big and small promoters work, I have met superstar fighters like Carl Frampton, Donny Lalonde, Barry McGuigan or David Haye, who even invited me to his dressing room for a chat. Now is the time to see if I can run a show myself.”

Promoter Ranee Schroeder plans up to five fights and has two WBF International title fights headlining in the intimate Sportpalast venue. Lalonde-trained Libyan Malik Zinad (6-0) defends his light heavyweight title against Georgian Beka Aduashvili (18-8) while Frenchman Jean Moraiti (12-10-4) clashes with Czech champion Michal Dufek (20-14-1) to decide the vacant lightweight title.

What if the show runs a loss? “I hope not, but since I still go to school of course, I have already alerted my parents that I may need a little sponsoring,” smiles presumably the youngest-ever promoter in boxing history.
