Enzo Maccarinelli destroyed in the first round

After his KO win over Roy Jones Last December Enzo Maccarinelli 41-8-0-33KO’s faced Dmytro Kucher 23-1-1 for the vacant EBU cruiserweight title at The York Hall in London, tonight. From the first bell Enzo landed stiff jab which snapped the head back of Kucher and it was a battle of the jabs for the first two minutes of the round.

Enzo was working well behind his jab and he was pushing Kucher back momentarily. Enzo threw a right uppercut followed by a left hook but he was countered by a left hook which staggered the welsh warrior. Kucher followed up with a straight right and a left which decked Maccarinelli. The welsh man staggered back to his feet but the referee called the fight off at 2:48 of the first round.
