Two weight division world champion Tomasz Adamek (50-5, 30 KO’s) faced Eric Molina(25-3-19KO’s) at Tauron Arena in, Krakow, Poland tonight. For the vacant IBF intercontinental belt over a 12 round contest. Adamek started the fight well by using his experience and taking most of the early rounds with his ring generalship.

It seemed that Molina released he was behind on the score cards and came out in the 10th round like a man on a mission. Molina started to apply sustained pressure on Ademeck at the beginning of the 10th round with a barrage of punches which put the old veteran on the back foot. Ademek tried to use his experience to survive the sustained onslaught but Molina’s selection of power shots started to take its toll.

Molina landed a crushing right hand which put Ademek over for the first time in the fight. Although Ademek got to his feet at the count of 9, the referee decided to stop the bout in round 10.

Molina is looking to rebuild his career after his defeat to Deonte Wilder last year and get back into world title contention. As for Ademek you have to ask the question where does he go from here. This is his third defeat in his last four fights and this could be the last time we see the polish warrior in the ring.
