Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen, 19-0-1-(13), won a hard fought 10 round unanimous decision over Marcus Johnson, 21-2, (15), at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Okalahoma on Friday night.
Johnson made a busy and positive start, but as the fight progressed the South African IBO super-middleweight champion stepped up the pace and sent Johnson to the canvas in round eight via a body shot . From then on Oosthuizen kept his nose in front to win by scores of 98-91 on all three judges cards.
On the undercard, undefeated super bantamweight Luis Orlando Del Valle, 16-0-(11), scored a 10 round unanimous decision win over Christopher Martin. Del Valle scored a knockdown in round seventh round to secure the win by scores of 100-89, 98-91, 97-92.
WBC super featherweight Youth champ Jose “The Sniper” Pedraza extended his record to, 8-0-(6), by scoring an eight round unanimous decision win over Gil Garcia. Pedraza . Garcia was judged to have been down in the fifth round that looked questionable. Garcia put in a solid performance to win clearly on all three judges cards by scores of 79-72, 80-71, 80-71.
