WBA middleweight champion Robert Brant and Russian challenger Khasan Baysangurov weighed in Friday ahead of their title clash at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minnesota.

Brant, who will be making the first defense of his title, tipped the scale at 158lbs 6oz. The champion was in great condition and eager to retain the crown that he snatched in an upset win over Japanese native Ryota Murata in July of last year.

For his part, Baysangurov also looked very well physically while tipping the scale at 158lbs 8oz for his first shot at a world title, after winning the Inter-Continental Championship last year.

Brant has a record of 24 wins, 1 loss, and 16 knockouts while Baysangurov has a record of 17 wins, no losses, and 7 knockouts.
