Bantamweight results day 4




Algerian boxer Malik Bouziane managed to reach the last 16 in the bantamweight division with a close but deserved 19-16 win over European championship silver medallist Ali Hallab .

Pakistani counter puncher Mehur Ullah became the second boxer form his country to qualify for the next round when he scored a 36-22 win over Kazakhstan boxer Aibek Abdymomunov.

Following a slow start Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux displayed good footwork and accurate right hands to frustrate and clearly out-pointed Chinese boxer Lui Yuan 21-7.

In a battle of the southpaws, Khavasi Khasigov from Belarus emerged victorious against Puerto Rican Juan Lopez. Khasigov was always quicker to the punch resulting in a 27-19 win.

In the last bout of the morning session Thailand's Worapoj Petchkoom outclassed Korean Kim Won by racking up a 20 point lead in the third session to eventually win 29-9.
