
David Munyasia, the Kenyan bantamweight representative for the Greece Olympics which begin this weekend, was the first athlete to be sent home from the Games after testing positive for a banned substance.
He tested positive for the prohibited stimulant cathine, a psedoephedrine variant that is found in khat, the root chewed socially in Kenya and other parts of east Africa.
The International Olympic Committee began dope testing on July 30.
