Light-flyweight quarter final round-up day 11

As expected Sergey Kazakov booked his place in the semi-final by out-pointing Namibian late replacement Joseph Jermia. Jermia only qualified for the Athens Games when the Kenyan representative pulled out and did well to reach the quarterfinal. But the world and European was just too and prevailed by 18 points to 11.

Kazakov will now meet Turkey's Atagun Yalcinkaya, who out-pointed Italian Alfonso Pinto 33-24, in the semi final.

The other half of the draw saw 2003 world silver medallist Zou Shiming from China take on Aleksan Nalbandyan. It was not one of the Chinese boxer's best performances but he did what he had to do to get through to Friday's semi final by 20-12.

Shiming will meet Cuban southpaw Yan Bhartelemy in the semi final following a clear points win over Korean Hong Moo Won.
