Khabib Allakhverdiev, 17-0-(8) won the IBO light welterweight title with a fourth round knockout of current champ Kaizer Mabuza, 24-9-3-(18) in Moscow, Russia on Wednesday.
The Southpaw Allakhverdiev got off to a good start by flooring Mabuza in round one. He finished off Mabuza by knocking him down twice more in round four.
On the undercard unbeaten light welterweight Eduard Troyanovsky, 11-0-(8), recovered from a ninth round knockdown to stop Claudinei Lacerda with just 10 seconds to go in round 10.
World rated cruiserweight Grigory Drozd needed just 39 seconds to stop Fabio Garrido.
