Arellano Passes Tough Test


Super bantamweight Jonathan Arellano came through his toughest test so far to register an eight round unanimous decision win over Jose Angel Beranza in front of a sell out crowd at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, CA on Friday.

 

Arellano, 13-0-1-(3) won by scores of a way 80-72, 77-75 and 79-73. Arellano was the quicker fighter and used his speed to good effect all night.

On the undercard super featherweight Aalan Martinez stopped Ramon Valadez in the seventh round of a scheduled eight round bout. Not much happened in the first few rounds Both looked to counter the other fighter. In the seventh round, Martinez rocked Valadez with a left uppercut to the head.and followed up with a barrage of punches until Valadez dropped to the canvas. Valadez managed to beat the count but the referee stepped in to stop the fight after 1.09.
