Highly rated British Super middleweight prospect Frank "The Wise Guy" Buglioni came through his toughest test to date against the durable Kirill Psonko. Londoner Buglioni opened the fight with some sharp, accurate shots but seemed to use a lot of energy in the 2nd round when he thought he had his opponent hurt.
The unheralded Psonko scored with a number of eye catching right hands throughout the fight and at times seemed to have Buglioni in some trouble, but the work rate and accuracy of the undefeated local proved to be too much and referee Bob Williams scored the fight 79-74 in favour of Buglioni.
The score perhaps doesn’t reflect how tough a test Psonko proved, and Buglioni will look to tighten up his defence in his next fight.
