Christian Hammer, 12-3-(8), scored a fourth round stoppage win over former British champion Danny Williams, (44-13-(22), at the Sparkassen Arena in Goettingen, Germany on Friday.
Hammer floored Williams with a right hand in the opening round one and from then on controlled the fight until Williams was battered into submission after 1.57 of the fourth round. Hammer won the WBO European heavyweight title
On the undercard Geard Ajetovic, 20-7-1-(10), claimed the vacant WBO Europa title when he battered Chris Mafuta, 11-3-(6), in a super middleweight bout until the fight was stopped in round four..
In a heavyweight bout Sanel Papic, 14-0-(11), destroyed Laszlo after just0.33 of round one. Middleweight Goekalp Oezekler won a hard fought 10 round unanimous decision over Albert Ayrapetyan in a bout that could have gone either way. Ayrapetyan was fighting for the first time since losing to Sergio Martinez in 2005.
