Faragon Remains Undefeated with a KO


Jerry Glick at ringside: Staten Island, NY was jumping with a full house at the Hilton Garden Inn on a Greg Cohen Promotions show featuring unbeaten Mikey “Baby Faced Beast” Faragon, 17-0 (8 KOs) against tough Andres Ledesma, 18-20-1 (13 KOs), in the main event.

 

Referee Benji Estevez finally called it off with Ledesma, 136 pounds, on his knee after taking a barrage of punches from Faragon, 137 pounds, to the head along the ropes that ended with a hard shot to the body. Time of the stoppage was 2:17 of the third round of eight scheduled.

 

THE UNDERCARD

 

Junior-lightweights-Diana Prazak won a six round unanimous decision over Lucia Larcinese.

Lightweights-Nicky Demarco outfought Cesar Gonzalez to win a unanimous six round verdict.

Junior-middleweights-Tommy Rainone outboxed Josh Williams for a unanimous four round win.

Welterweights-Anthony Young stopped Clifford McPherson in two.
