Light welterweight Omar “Panterita” Figueroa Jr., 20-0-1-(16), unbeaten at the Our Lady of the Lake University Wellness Center in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday when he knocked out Henry Aurad in the first round.
A big right hand sent Aurad crashing to the canvas for the full count after 0.47 of the opener. Aurad falls to 14-7-1-(11).
On the undercard 2012 USA Olympian Errol Spence Jr., 4-0-(3), went the four round distance for the first time against Luis Torres of a welterweight contest. The scores were 40-36 on all three judges cards.
Unbeaten light middleweight Jermall Charlo scored a second round knockout win over Gilbert Venegas. A right hand to the head ended the fight after 1:24.
