WBO NABO light heavyweight champion Andrew Fonfara knocked out Phil Williams in the third of the a 10 rounder UIC Pavillion in Chicago on Friday night.
The knockout happened after 1.25 of the third round and was Fonfara’s eighth ko in eight fights at light-heavyweight.
Fonfara was rumoured to be fighting on the undercard of Nathan Cleverly’s WBO light-heavyweight title defence on February 25 but Fonfara’s promoter reportedly said he had not had any such conversation about the Feb 25 card.
