Foreman Wins in NYC

Alex Luces reporting-Yuri Foreman came out bouncing on his toes and established his jab as Davis was looking to time him Foreman landed the more effective punches. The second round saw Foreman applying pressure and landing at will. Round three saw more of Foreman circling and landing jabs and hooks.

The fourth round sae Foreman controlling the pace and frustrating Davis who momentarily backed off trying to lure him into a slugfest, to which Foreman declined by maintaining his ring style. A head butt in the fifth produced a bad cut over Davis’ right eyelid. Upon continuation Foreman targeted the eye and landed some strong left hooks. Each fighter landed booming hooks but Foreman did more than enough to win round five on the strength of the volume of punches thrown and landed.

The final stanza was more of the same; Davis playing the Earth to Foereman’s sun. Steve Cunningham, the former IBF cruiserweight champion, was cheering his hometown fighter on from the blacony and Davis tried his best but he just could not cut the ring off against the ever-circling Foreman. It was another unanimous decision, this one for Foreman.
