By Andrew Rivera at ringside: Holly Holm gained revenge against France’s Anne Sophie Mathis with a unanimoues round decision win at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday.
The scores were 96-94, 99-91 and 97-93, all for Holm. Unlike the first fight where Holm stood and punched with the powerful Mathis which ended in Holm getting stopped; she would have none of it this time as she boxed circles around Mathis to regain the IBA and WBF welterweight titles.
