Rocky Juarez kept his career alive at the Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday by knocking out Antonio Escalante in the eighth round of a make or break fight.
Juarez, 29-10-1-(21), had not tasted victory in four years but looked good in flooring Escalante in round three. Escalante, 28-5-(19),fought his way back into the fight but Juarez finally forced Escalante to take a knee to end it in round eight and finish the fight
On the same card unbeaten featherweight Julian Ramirez floored Steven Gutierrez in rounds four and five before the fight was stopped at 0.16 of the fifth session.
