Kameda Wins But Loses In Osaka


Despite being defeated by WBA super flyweight champ Liborio Solis, 16-3-1-( 7),via 12 round split decision in a unification battle in Osaka, Japan, Daiki Kameda, 29-4-(10), still retained his IBF title after Solis lost his title on the scale

 

The WBA title remains vacant. Scores were 115-113 for Kameda and 116-112, 116-112 for Solis.

 

In the same promotion WBO bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda, 29-0-(18), retained his title with a 12 round unanimous decision against Immanuel Naidjala, 17-1-1-(10). The scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111.

 

The third world title of the night saw IBF minimumweight champ Katsunari Takayama retain his title with a clear 12 round unanimous decision win over Vergilio Silvano. The scores were 118-110 twice and 120-108.

 

The bouts took place at the Bodymaker Colosseum.
