Mikkel Kessler, (46-2, 35 KOs). destroyed Brian Magee, (36-5-1, 25 Kos,) inside three rounds at the BOXEN Arena in Herning, Denmark on Saturday.
Kessler floored Magee with a punch to the body in round two and after another well placed shot to the midsection forced the WBA regular super middleweight champion to turn his back and was counted again by referee Luis Pabon.
Kessler turned up the heat and decked Magee again at the beginning of the third and the fight was stopped after 0-24 of the round. Kessler won the WBA regular super-middleweight title. American Andre Ward is the true WBA champ.
On the undercard Light heavyweight Rudy Markussen, (38-3, 25 KOs), battered Daniel Regi (16-8, 8 KOs) after 2:12 into round one. Regi had been down numerous times.
