lightweight prospect Andrey Klimov (15-0, 8 KOs) scored a seventh round tko win Matias Gomez (29-2, 28 KOs) to win the vacant IBF Inter-Continental title in Moscow, Russia on Friday.
Klimov,from Russia, was in control from the opening round. In round two Klimov was cut by an accidental headbutt. Though bleeding from the cut, Klimov continued to march forward landing some good shot
Klimov´s cut worsened as the fight went on and after round seven the bout was halted due to the cut and sent to the scorecards. All three judges made Klimov the winner by scores of 69-64.
