Koseki Is Still Champ/Shibata Claims Title


In the main event in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday, female WBC Atomweight champ Momo Koseki (14-0-1, 4 KOs), retained her title for the 12th time by out-pointing Mexican Nora Cardoza (10-5-3, 6 KOs), over 10 bloody rounds.

 

The scores were 97-91 twice and 96-92.

 

On the same Sports Gym promoted card Japan’s Naoko Shibata (11-3, 3 KOs), claimed the vacant IBF female light-flyweight title defeated the previously unbeaten Mexican Alondra Garcia (11-1, only one KO), over 10 rounds.
