Former world title challenger David Lopez, 41-13-(23), won a 10 round decision over former prospect Julio Cesar “Baby Face” Garcia, 45-6-(38), at the Gimnasio Auditorio Jorge Campos in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico on Saturday.
.Lopez was boxing again for the first time since dropping a decision to Austin Trout for the WBA light middleweight title in June 2012.
On the undercard featherweight Edgar Monarrez, 13-1-0-(9) scored a sixth round tko win Alberto Ruiz. Time of the stoppage was 2.45.
