The ‘Pride Of Providence’ Peter Manfredo Jr scored a 10 round decision win over Walter ‘2 Guns’ Wright at the Twin River Events Center in Lincoln, RI on Friday night.
Manfredo Jr. (39-7, 20 KOs) was judged a clear winner on all three judges cards by scores of 98-93, 97-93, and 100-90. Wright, who took the fight on two weeks notice, was hurt badly in round two when his left eye was almost swollen shut. The eye injury caused Wright problems throughout the bout but he managed to stay the course.
On the undercard Joe Gardner (11-5-1, 1 KO) won a six round decision over Reynaldo Rodriguez (6-6-1, 3 KO) by scores of 58-56 for Gardner. Both boxers hail from Woonsocket, RI
