Namibian boxer Paulus Moses won the battle of the former world champions at the Ramatex Factory west of Khomasdal, Namibia on Saturday night when he out-pointed Cassius Baloyi over 10 rounds.
In a close fight one judge scored the fight 96-94 for Baloyi while the other two judges had it 97-93 and 96-94 for Moses. Moses improves his record to 29-2-(19), Baloyi falls to 37-7-1, 19 KOs.
In the main co feature former three-time world champion Isaac Hlatshawayo was well outclassed over 12 rounds by Namibia’s Bethuel Tyson Uushona for the vacant WBO All Africa welterweight title. The scores were 119-109 twice and 120-108.
On undercard Paulus Ambunda from Namibia unanimously outpointed William Prado over 12 rounds. The scores were 119-109 twice and 120-108.
In a WBO Africa flyweight title Abmerk Shidjuu outpointed South African Khanyekude Mukhansi over 12 rounds. The scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 117-110
