Jackie “Aztec Princess” Nava, 28-4-3-(11), retained her WBA super bantamweight title at the LA Cetto Vineyard in the Valle de Guadalupe near Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.on Saturday with third round stoppage win over Lisa “Bad News” Brown.
The Canadian Southpaw pushed forward early in bid to pressure Nava the champion stayed cool and countered Brown’s attacks. The end came after 1:46 of the third round when a combination of punches by Nava forced the stoppage.
On the same card an accidental head clash forced a premature stoppage early in the opening round between Ruben “Canelito” Tamayo and super bantamweight Raul “Rayito” Hirales. The bout was judged a technical draw.
