Quigg, Murray and Buckland Victorious In Manchester

Martin Murray stopped Jorge Navarro in the sixth round to win the WBA interim middleweight title at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Saturday night. Navarro was floored in the first round and was down again in the sixth round from a hand before the fight was stopped when Navarro’s carner threw in the towel.

Manchester’s Scott Quigg won the battle of the best of the British super bantamweights after stopping the durable Rendall Munroe after 2.37 of the sixth round.

Gary Buckland retained his British super-featherweight title after stopping local favorite Stephen Foster Jr in the eighth round. Buckland’s workrate and pressure proved too much for the veteran Foster Jr.

European light middleweight champion Sergey Rabchenko retained his title by out-pointing Cedric Vitu over 12 rounds.
