Rios Decisions Cancio To Remain Unbeaten


Super featherweight Ronny Rios,23-0-(10), remained unbeaten after securing a tough 10 round unanimous decision win over Andrew “Chango” Cancio, 15-3-2-(11), at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois on Monday.

 

Rios was judged the winner an all three scorecards 97-93 twice and 96-94.

 

On the undercard of the Golden Boy promoted card featherweight prospect Julian “El Camaron” Ramirez improved to 11-0-(6),out-pointing Carlos Rodriguez , 22-14-3-(10), over eight rounds. Ramirez was always in control as the 80-72, 79-73, 78-74 verdict indicated.

 

The third unbeaten boxer on the card to preserve his perfect record was lightweight Jose Arambula, who went , 7-0-(3), scoring a six round unanimous decision over David Diaz. Arambula decked Diaz in round one, before securing a clear 60-53 and 58-55 twice.
