Rivera Decisions Jimenez A Second Time

When WBC Latin flyweight champion Julian ‘Chicano’ Rivera and Edger Jimenez fought back in July Rivera edged a controversial decision but at the Foro Polanco in Mexico city on Friday night Rivera ran out a clear winner.

The first fight was so close that the WBC ordered an immediate rematch but on Friday all three judges made ‘Chicano’ the winner by scores of 117-112 twice and, 117-111.

On the undercard super flyweight David Carmona, 16-1-2-(9), scored a fourth round knockout win over Ariel “Ruso” Gonzalez, 5-5-4-(1). Carmona floored Gonzalez in round one and twice in round four. The last time Gonzalez was decked he stayed there for a number of minutes.
