Rocky Martinez 26-1-1-(16), regained the vacant WBO super featherweight title with a close 12 round split decision win over Miguel Beltran Jr ,27-2-(17) at the Thomas and Center in Las Vegas on Saturday..
The scores were 116-111 Beltran, 114-113 114-113 for Martinez. Beltran was deducted a point in round 11 allowing Martinez to claim the title.
Macklin Destroys Alcine
British middleweight contender Matthew Macklin improved his record to 29-4-(20), when he destroyed former light middleweight champion Joachim Alcine in the first round. Alcine was decked twice before the bout was stopped after2:26.
