Soto Defeats Nakamori


Former two weight world champion Humberto Soto retained his WBC silver light welterweight title at the Monumental Villa Charra Carlos Bowser Gonzalez in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico on Saturday(June 8) when he stopped Hiroshi Nakamon via ninth round tko.

 

On the same card José Alfredo ‘Diablito’ Zúñiga became the new WBC international light flyweight silver champion by defeating Luis “Gallito” Ceja

 

Zuñiga knew how to handle his rival who from time to time seemed to hurt him with his power. However, ‘Diablito’ showed good foot work to nullify more sustained attacks. At the end of the fight the scorecards were all for Zuñiga’s by scores of:117- 111, 119-111 and 119- 111.
