WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz, 46-3-(26), retained his title by clearly out-pointing Isaac Ekpo, 22-2-(16),at the Exhibition Hall EINS in Leipzig, Germany on Saturday.

The champion’s speed and constant pressure kept the heavy handed Ekpo off-at bay for much of the fight. The scores were 118-110, 118-110, 119-109.

On the undercard former WBC heavyweight title challenger Manuel Charr, 25-1-(15), defeated Denis Bakhtov, 36-9-(24), when he was unable to continue in round six due to sustaining a hand injury. Prior to the retirement the bout was pretty much even. The WBC International silver, WBC Mediterranean, WBC Baltic and something called the WBC CISBB title was on the line.
