Scot Alex Arthur’s status as an interim champion has reportedly been changed to the full-fledged WBO super featherweight champion following Joan Guzman’s decision to move up to 135 lbs.
Arthur (26-1, 19 KOs) was supposed to face Guzman on May 3 in Edinburgh, but the fight needed to be rescheduled when Guzman apparently couldn’t obtain a visa on time.
The 29-year-old Arthur picked up the vacant interim WBO belt by stopping Koba Gogoladze in ten rounds last July.
