Ola Afolabi produced a stunning overhand right hand to knock out former European Cruiserweight champion Terry Dunstan after just 40 seconds of the opening round at the Imtech stadium in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday night.
Afolabi unleashed a peach a right hand to completely pole axe, Dunstan, knocking out his gum shield to send him crashing to the canvas for the full count. Dunstan eventually got to his feet but the fight had long since been waved off.
Speaking after his spectacular win Afolabi said: “Not being lazy works out. I worked hard for this fight. Those rounds sparring with Klitschko paid off. I hope this win puts me in line to face Marco Huck next.”
On the undercard British flyweights Ashley Sexton and Mike Robinson fought to a eight round split decision draw in a rematch. Robinson looked to have edged the first part of the fight, Sexton pulled himself together in the second part of a close fight. A draw seemed the right result. One judge scored the bout for Sexton, 78-76, one judge for Robinson, 77-75, the third official made it even at 76-76.
