Liverpool super-middleweight boxer Tony Dodson has been named as the mandatory challenger for Paul David’s English title.
Sheffield based David must defend the English title before the end of November, 2009.
Talking to BBC Radio Merseyside, Dodson said: "I’ve got a letter from the British Boxing Board of Control stating that I’m to challenge Paul David.
"I gave up the English title because I wanted to pursue the British title, now I’ve got to take a different route.
"The English title would put me next in line to fight for the British one. Me and Paul David know each other, I don’t like the kid as he’s a bit arrogant for me but he’s a good strong fighter, he’ll come to fight and he’ll come to win," added Dodson.
